Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement

Our commitment to preventing modern slavery in our business and supply chains under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Effective 26 March 2026[email protected]7 sections

Financial year: 2025–2026 Published: 26 March 2026

This statement is published in accordance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps taken by The Carrier Hub Ltd to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.

1. Our Business

The Carrier Hub Ltd operates an online freight and logistics exchange platform (The Carrier Hub) that connects Carriers and Sub-Carriers with Shippers across the United Kingdom. We are a technology marketplace — we do not directly employ drivers or own vehicles.

2. Our Supply Chains

Our supply chains include:

  • Technology suppliers: Cloud hosting (AWS/GCP), payment processing (Stripe), AI services (Google Gemini), and other SaaS providers
  • Professional services: Legal, accounting, and compliance advisers
  • Platform users: Carriers and Sub-Carriers who provide delivery services through the Platform

The logistics and delivery sector carries an elevated risk of labour exploitation, particularly in relation to sub-contracting chains, agency workers, and gig economy arrangements. We take this risk seriously.

3. Policies

We maintain the following policies relevant to modern slavery:

  • This Modern Slavery Statement
  • Our Right to Work Policy — all Carriers and Sub-Carriers must demonstrate their legal right to work in the UK
  • Our Acceptable Use Policy — prohibits the use of the Platform to facilitate any form of labour exploitation
  • Our Privacy Policy — governs how we handle personal data, including data relating to vulnerable individuals

4. Due Diligence

We take the following steps to identify and address modern slavery risks:

Platform users: All Carriers and Sub-Carriers are required to complete identity verification (live selfie), provide compliance documents, and confirm their right to work before their account is approved. This reduces the risk of the Platform being used by individuals who are being exploited or controlled by third parties.

Technology suppliers: We procure services from established, reputable technology companies who publish their own modern slavery statements. We review supplier statements as part of our procurement process.

Reporting: We encourage anyone who suspects modern slavery or human trafficking connected to the Platform to contact us at [email protected] or to call the Modern Slavery Helpline on 0800 0121 700.

5. Training

Our compliance team receives training on recognising indicators of modern slavery and human trafficking, including:

  • Signs that a driver may be under the control of a third party
  • Unusual account activity suggesting multiple people using a single account
  • Requests to redirect payments to third-party accounts

6. Key Performance Indicators

We measure the effectiveness of our steps by tracking:

  • Number of accounts suspended pending right to work verification
  • Number of modern slavery concerns reported to us
  • Number of referrals made to the National Referral Mechanism or law enforcement

7. Approval

This statement has been approved by the directors of The Carrier Hub Ltd and will be reviewed and updated annually.
